Local Business Marketing On Facebook

Today, I thought I’d give you local business owners a series of tips on how to handle this behemoth known as Facebook. If you are a local business owner then before you ask, yes Facebook marketing matters to you too!

I am going to save the discussion of Facebook ads for a future post. But you should know that Facebook ads could be one of the most targeted and profitable ways to market on Facebook.

facebook marketingToday, however, let’s explore how to use Facebook in a lot of other ways (i.e. FREE) to market your products and websites.

The starting point for your presence on Facebook is your profile page.

Your profile page is basically a landing page that you design in order to convert your friends to engage with certain parts of your identity.

If you want to use this free Facebook marketing strategy, the secret is to expand your network as much as possible. The way to do this is to expand! Start a group and you create a central place for customers, partners, and friends to participate in conversations around your brand. Facebook groups come with boards for posting discussion topics, photos, videos, and links right out of the box. And the best part about Groups is you can create as many as you like for free.

While Groups do offer a reasonably robust feature set with no setup, you’re not able to extend their functionality with Facebook applications. In order to use those, you will need to get a Facebook Fan Page.

Fan Pages were launched by Facebook in November 2007 as a way for businesses of many types to easily establish a brand presence on Facebook. Fan Pages are more customizable than groups. You can add HTML, Flash, or even Facebook applications to your pages to extend their functionality. Fan Pages are a good option for small or local businesses that want to establish a presence on Facebook. Like groups, they’re another free and easy way to do viral marketing.
You can also join network marketing group, send out several comments, write notes, add friends, add events, join events, wall post on Groups, wall post on Friends Walls, post videos in Groups, cross pollinate with other Group Owners, add many photos, make sure all your privacy settings are OFF.

Never forget that Facebook is a society so don’t try to be a seller, try to solve others problems. Community is about communication, and that might be the best advertising you could hope for.

Brands are already networking and engaging with consumers via Facebook for leverage, a strengthening and generating a better understanding of the brand itself and customer relationships with it, and for participation and valuable feedback.

Don’t underestimated the power of this free Facebook marketing tool, you can connect with people around the world so easily.

Article Marketing Tips: 4 Things ALL Articles Must Have

Today, let’s look at a few important article marketing tips that you should consider. Article marketing is an important facets in driving traffic to your local business website. Articles dictate a lot in the success and Article Marketing Tipsthe drive of traffic one local website.  Article marketing is and will remain a key element in making a site work. A local business owner must include articles in his or her website that are targeted towards their business.

Article marketing is known to be the force in driving traffic to a website. Articles are a factor in giving site high rankings in search result pages. The higher a site ranks the bigger slice of the traffic flow pie a local business owner gets. With a huge number in traffic flow, there are more profits and more potential for other income generating schemes as well.

But, it is not just about stuffing your site with articles.

Each article must contain certain requirements as well. These requirements must be met to obtain the maximum benefits an article will provide for your site. A well written article will catch the eyes and interest of your customers and keep them coming back for more.  They would also be able to recommend your site to others.

Here are some article marketing tips to help you and assist you in creating your article marketing campaign. Below you will read about four things all articles must have to make it successful and helpful in making your site a profit earning and traffic overflowing site.

Keywords and Keyword Phrases

An article must always be centered on the keywords and keyword phrases. As each website visitor goes to a site, there are those who are just merely browsing but actually looking for a specific something. When this happens, a searcher usually goes to a search engine and types in the keywords they  are looking for (e.g. Toyota Camry, Meningitis, Tax Lawyer and Etcetera). It could be anything they want.

The Important thing is that you have an article that has the keywords that are related to your site. For example, if you maintain an auto parts site, you must be able t have articles about cars and their parts.  There are many tools in the internet that provides service in helping a webmaster out in determining what keywords and keyword phrases are mostly sought out. You can use this tool to determine what keywords to use and write about.

Keyword Density

Know that you have your keywords and keyword phrases, you must use them fully. An article must have good keyword density for a search engine to “feel” its presence. Articles should at least have ten to fifteen percent of keyword density in their content for search engines to rank a site high in their search results. Getting a high rank is what articles do best for a site.

Keyword density is the number of times a keyword or keyword phrase is used on an article. The number varies depending on the number of words used in an article. An effective article must have a keyword density that is not too high or too low. With a very high density, the essence of the article is lost and may turn off a reader as well as the search engines. It comes off as overeager. A low number may be ignored by the search engines.

Good Article Content

Like what is stated above, you cannot just riddle an article with keywords. They must also be regarded as good reading materials. Articles must be able to entertain people as well as provide good information and help for their needs. Articles should be written well with correct spelling and good grammar. If you want people to trust you, make your work good and well thought out.

People respond well to figures, facts and statistics. Try to get great information and as many facts as you can. A good and well written article will boost your reputation as an expert in your chosen field or topic. As more people believe in you. They will be able to trust you and your products.

Linking Articles

And another important thing to remember. If you are going to submit articles to ezines and/or contribute your articles to newsletters and other sites, DON’T ever forget to include a link to your site. A little resource box with a brief description of your site and you should always be placed right after your articles that you have submitted. If people like your articles, they will most likely click on the link directing them to your site.

In summary, I hope you use these article marketing tips to drive traffic to your local business website. Don’t forget to use this powerful tool.
